It never ends.

I swear, someone is out to get me.

First of all, I’ve been waiting months for these next few weeks. Guitar Hero 3 tomorrow, Call of Duty 4 the following week, 2 weeks later is Assassins Creed and Super Mario Galaxy, and then Rock Band. To describe my anticipation level as “super stoked” would be pretty accurate. So yesterday, I play a bit of the GH3 demo, and head off to work. I come home, get dressed, and head to a friends house for a few hours. I come home and turn on the old 360 for some Crackdown, or possibly Halo 3. Maybe even Call of Duty 3.

Then, it happened. 3 Red Lights.

I sat in shock for almost a minute before getting up and shutting off the system, thinking my eyes were playing tricks on me or something. I go grab a bite to eat and come back and try again.

Same thing.

The rage that flowed through my veins was insane. I was ready to go nuts. No this couldn’t happen now. Not literally in the greatest gaming season of all time. I was 1.5 days away from Guitar Hero 3. I stopped and took a few breaths, having accepted my fate. I went to the computer and went through the little Warranty process on Microsoft’s website, and the “coffin” is in its way.

So one of the hottest months for gaming is now put on hold for me. At least a little bit. I exchanged my 360 deposit for Guitar Hero 3 for the PS3 version, and hopefully by the time I beat this song, my 360 will be returned to me and I can just pretend like it never happened. The only way this could get worse is if my PS3 went kaput on me, and there’s no history of launch PS3’s dying this early in their life cycles, so there’s no chance of that happening, right?

Right?

    Right, I guess.

Man, you’re unlucky. But hey, I don’t even have money for all the Wii games! I still don’t have Super Paper Mario, and MP3 is coming to the store, and I won’t be able to buy Super Mario Galaxy so soon. Not to mention Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and the Wii Zapper bundle.

    I suck more than you.

I got the 3 red lights once… I turned off my 360, told it to knock it off, turned it back on and it worked just fine.
